This portrait of Giorgio Armani was taken in Milan on 12 June 1995.
A brief encounter was enough to create timeless images, captured at his headquarters on Via Borgonuovo. No pasta, no espresso – just three expressive shots: two in black and white, and one striking colour photograph. All were taken on analogue film with a Mamiya RZ67 medium-format camera.
One of the greatest designers of our time has passed away.
This edition is published as a tribute to him.

Dieses Porträt von Giorgio Armani entstand am 12. Juni 1995 in Mailand.
Eine kurze Begegnung genügte, um zeitlose Bilder zu schaffen – aufgenommen in seinem Hauptsitz in der Via Borgonuovo. Kein Pasta, kein Espresso – nur drei ausdrucksstarke Aufnahmen: zwei in Schwarz-Weiß und eine eindrucksvolle Farbaufnahme. Alle wurden analog mit einer Mamiya RZ67-Mittelformatkamera fotografiert.
Einer der größten Designer unserer Zeit ist verstorben.
Diese Edition erscheint als Hommage an ihn.
